FOUNDERS TESTIMONY

"If you love me, keep my commands."  John 14:15
This Ministry birthed out of a journey of obedience a journey that began when I finally said yes to God, no matter the cost. Many believers profess their love for God, yet struggle to demonstrate that love through obedience to His commandments and decrees. But true obedience reveals a deeper level of love and faith that transforms not just our actions, but our entire lives.
Scripture reminds us in 1 John 5:3, "In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome." Our relationship with God should mirror the devotion we show in our most treasured earthly relationships. Just as we do everything in our power not to harm or disrespect a beloved spouse, we should offer that same reverence and honor to our Heavenly Father. Why wouldn't we walk in obedience to a God who forgives us freely and extends grace upon grace?
For me, choosing obedience changed everything. I was a woman trapped in deep sin living a homosexual lifestyle, drinking, smoking, and more. I thought I could maintain my lifestyle and still serve God peacefully, but I was deceiving myself. God convicted me through His Word, revealing a truth I had to face: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24).
People often ask when they hear my testimony, "Didn't you know that was a sin before you married her?" I had heard it mentioned, but I had never read it for myself. That's the danger of secondhand faith when you're living in heavy sin, it becomes nearly impossible to truly hear or follow God's Word. During that season, I was engulfed in spiritual warfare. My prayer life was hollow. I felt empty sitting in church. I felt as though God was disappointed in me, and honestly, I knew why.

Then one day, while driving home from work, God spoke clearly to my spirit: "You're either going to do what I called you to do, or I'm going to take My hands off your life." In that moment, I realized my eternity was at stake. As Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." I had to make a decision. I had to tell my ex-wife that our relationship had to end because my salvation and my calling were more important.
That choice that act of obedience was the beginning of my deliverance and transformation. James 1:22 says, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." Obedience isn't just about following rules; it's about alignment with God's heart, His purpose, and His plan for our lives.
My message to my brothers and sisters, I pray that God will speak to your heart, convict you where necessary, and empower you to walk faithfully in His truth. Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). No sin is too great, no stronghold too strong God's grace is greater still. Are you ready to say yes to God?
